HARARE-THE Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has rejected the accreditation of NGO Forum director, Musa Kika citing security reasons.

In a letter to the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR), ZEC deputy chairperson, Rodney Simukai Kiwa said the electoral body was unable to approve accreditation of Kika for security reasons.

“Please be advised that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has not approved the accreditation of your client Musa Kika for security reasons,” reads the letter.

The commission also wrote a similar letter to Athernstone and Cook Legal Practitioners denying Rashid Mahiya, Tapiwanashe Chiriga and Racheal Kadau accreditation citing the same reasons.

The nation will hold harmonized elections to choose the President, House of Assembly Representatives and councilors this Wednesday.
