…Consruction Boys on learning curve

Gweru- Ngezi Platinum Stars who are becoming one of the powerhouses in local football, thanks to their cash rich sponsors are thrilled with their pre-season preps if friendly matches being played are anything to go by.
Following their 1 nil triumph against the Construction boys yesterday ( Saturday 18 February 2023) at Gweru Sports Club ,Ngezi Platinum coach, Takesure Chiragwi has expressed satisfaction and confidence over the player combination and progress being made by his side so far.
Chiragwi who is pushing towards boosting his player’s mental preparedness said his focus remains centered on the team’s preparations ahead of the of the coming Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.
“The game against Sheasham FC was not focused on results but boosting our preparations for the upcoming season, we are looking at where we are going in terms of player combination.
“Looking at the boys, I can say I am happy with our attack and defence as we are progressing and doing better with each outing,” said Chiragwi.
Meanwhile, Construction Boys head coach, John Nyikadzino appreciated the lessons learnt from the Ngezi encounter.
“The game was good, we learnt a lot from Ngezi as compared to our previous games that we played. We learnt a lot despite the loss as our defence and attack has improve quite tremendously as we are in a transition.
“We still need to work much on our fitness as we saw that Ngezi’s game was also won on physique and team play.
“As a newly promoted kid in the league, we don’t need to be too ambitious, we have a lot to learn from experienced teams in the league, our major target is to consolidate our position.” he added.
Ngezi Platinum Stars made reinforcements ahead of this coming season by signing Black Rhinos defender ,Gareth Madhake beating Harare giants Dynamos in securing his services.
Madhake showcased great talent in a fruitful season with Black Rhinos last year, winning the club’s player of the season accolade.
