MASVINGOTerry Green and Chipo Muchegwa the Ndezvemoyo hitmakers have extended a begging bowl to well-wishers across Zimbabwe with a vehicle and a P.A system for use when travelling for shows.

Green and Muchegwa said this when they were in Masvingo performing at Mr and Miss Disability which was held last Saturday at Masvingo Polytechnic.

Green said that they are having difficulties in travelling using public transport due to their conditions hence they need a personal car to travel from point A to point B and equipment to use at their shows so that they reduce costs of hiring both the equipment and vehicle.

“As you all know that we are artists living with disability we have special needs at some point especially when we are travelling we face a lot of challenges since we can not use public transport so we end up hiring a car which is expensive at the end of the day therefore we are kindly asking for assistance from well wishers to help us with a motor vehicle so that we are able to travel from one point to the other,” said Green.

“It’s just the same thing with a P.A system that we use for our shows and different tours we end up hiring which is costly hence it becomes expensive to hold a show therefore we are pleading with any kind of assistance to acquire such equipment to help us keep on producing music for our fans.”

Muchegwa also told The Midweek Watch that they are always excluded in shows that big artists will be performing hence they feel isolated in some projects that would help them to raise their profile and earn some money.

She also added that their progress is hindered by lack of proper infrastructure like staircases, chairs at studios and venues.

Edson December the duo’s manager also pleaded with the business community to come to their rescue and for promoters not to shun them during mainstream shows.

“We are having difficulties in getting slots at major music concerts because promoters sideline us maybe because they think the duo needs a lot of attention but it’s not the case because these two can perform up to four hours but they just not given the chance to display what they can do,” said December.
