Out of the 94 learners who sat for the exams, 54 were boys and 40 girls.

Mutendi Primary School Head, Geofrey Muchokoti attributed the progress to strong teamwork, close supervision, parental support and a conducive learning environment.

“We worked hard together as a team. The support from parents was encouraging, supervision was tight and our management and resources made it all possible,” he said.

Mutendi Primary, a boarding school in Masvingo Province is one of the many Zion Christian Church run schools dotted around the country.

ZCC is arguably the biggest indigenous church in the country and one of the oldest.
