GWERU-Mkoba South legislator John Kuka has donated 40 bags of cement and traditional dance kits to Budiriro B College, aimed at improving learning conditions and conserving cultural values.

The cement will be used to construct a new secondary school block.
Budiriro B has an enrollment of 450 students using two classroom blocks only.
The primary school side has three blocks and 550 learners.
Kuka said the construction of a new classroom block will help to address the issue of “hot sitting” that has been bedeviling the constituency.
“We have a program to decongest our schools in Mkoba South constituency by assisting them with equipment and resources to build more classroom blocks, so that we end hot sitting which negatively affects our learners,” Kuka said.
The legislator added that he is mobilizing resources, as the constituency development funds have not yet been released by the treasury.
He bemoaned the delay in the distribution of the Basic Education Assistance Module (BEAM) funds, which he said affects school development.
Kuka also provided the school with traditional dance kits, saying this will help learners conserve cultural values from a tender age.
He urged teachers to join hands with the community to fight drug and substance abuse by educating children about the dangers at the school level.
Budiriro B School Development Committee Chairperson Hapson Jera commended the MP for the donation, adding that it will go a long way in the school’s infrastructure development and traditional department.
