Morgentser College lecturer Mavugara dies

MASVINGO- One of the longest serving lecturers at the Reformed Church in Zimbabwe run Morgenster Teachers College Mavengano Witness Mavugara has died.

Mavugara   succumbed to diabetes complications at Makurira Memorial Hospital, on Friday and was laid tio rest at his rural home in Charumbira communal lands in Masvingo rural last Sunday.

He was 53 years old.

The late educationist leaves behind a legacy of dedication and passion in the teaching profession.

Mavugara’s impact on the lives of his students and colleagues will be deeply missed, as will his commitment in shaping young minds and inspiring the future generations of educators. 

A fellow lecturer, Trust Kubvoruno described Mavugara as a dedicated individual who was able to solve complex situations at the age old learning institution,

“As a lecturer, he was known for his patience, kindness, and ability to make complex concepts accessible to his students.” He said

Scores of people in the education fraternity including community members came together to bid farewell to the veteran lecturer. 

Mavugara is survived by his wife and a son, and had served at Morgenster Teachers College for the past 10 years.

Mavugara’s legacy will continue to inspire and motivate future generations of educators and students alike said one former student.
