MASVINGO CITY– The United States Embassy rewarded 12 alumni for their outstanding work and impact in their respective fields of work and communities that they operate from.
The awards were held recently at Cresta Msasa Lodge in Harare marking the inaugural Zimbabwe Exchange Alumni Impact Awards in the country.
Media Institute of Southern Africa regional chairman and Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) Campus Radio director Golden Maunganidze was also a recipient of the prestigious award as the most outstanding Alumni in Media and Journalism.
“I felt honoured by receiving such a prestigious award and I do not take it lightly that some people see the work I am doing”, said Maunganidze who is also a director of TellZim newspaper.
“And most importantly there is no one who could win such an award by themselves so it’s an award that reflect the support that I get from my colleagues and those above me on the level that I work”.
The U.S Embassy was recognising outstanding work and impact made by the #ExchangeAlumni in their various fields of work and in their communities and amongst the winners are Tawanda Collins Muzamwese, Plot Mhako, Gilmore Khumalo, Siza Mukwedini, Sicelo Dube, Witness Ukama, Youngerson Matete, Providence Moyo, Chipo Chikomo, Joshua Masunda and McDonald Gurura.
