Mberengwa clubs in fine start to new season

MIDLANDS – The three Mberengwa based clubs plying their trade in the ZIFA Midlands Province Division 2A league recorded a fine start to the new season after they all picked up comprehensive victories.

Mbesa FC were the biggest winners on the opening day after thumping Herentals 5-1 to head straight to summit of the log a position they hope to maintain all season.

Returnees Black Eagles won 3-0 against All Stars Somabula to take second spot in the latest log while Great Dyke Fc beat Shurugwi South 3-1.

Newbies Pams Academy narrowly lost by a solitary goal to Bethel FC while Sabi Gold Mine earned a 2-2 draw away at Shurugwi FC.
