Clubfoot, is a congenital deformity affecting one or both feet and can lead to disability if left untreated on children.

However, with early detection and proper treatment using the Ponseti Method, children can learn to walk, run, and play without pain. The treatment involves three stages: casting, tenotomy, and bracing.

Eight parents shared their emotional journeys, recounting how their children’s clubfoot conditions were successfully treated at the rehab centre without any costs, Norman Ginande, Patricia Mugobo, Darlington Mafunda, and Gogo Mazarura were among those who testified on the effectiveness of the treatment.

The event also featured a thought-provoking drama by Masvingo Provincial Hospital nurses, highlighting societal misconceptions and stigma surrounding clubfoot.

They stressed the significance of early detection and treatment for optimal outcomes.

The celebration was a testament to the power of collaboration and community support in transforming lives.

As one parent, Gogo Mazarura, poignantly said, “My child can now run and play without pain, thanks to the dedicated team at the rehab centre.”
