Masomere donates to ZNA

MASVINGO- In a remarkable gesture that strengthens civil-military relations, the National Chairman of Cross Border Traders for Economic Development David Masomere has donated a 65-inch LG smart television to Officer’s Mess at the Zimbabwe National Army’s Vitalis Gava Musungwa Zvinavashe Barracks, 4 Infantry Brigade in Masvingo.

Presenting the donation on Thursday, Masomere said the gesture was not politically driven but was a token to appreciate the important role played by the forces in maintaining peace and stability in the country.

“This donation is not driven by any political or personal agenda. It simply shows that we are one family.  The men and women in uniform play a vital role in maintaining peace and security in our beloved country and this small gesture is just a token of appreciation,” he said.

In his remarks, Major Chiwara of the Zvinavashe Brigade expressed his appreciation and sincere gratitude towards the kind gesture urging Masomere to continue with the sharing spirit.

“We are very grateful to DJ Masomere.  This is a gesture that will be forever cherished.  We urge you to continue with this spirit, not only for us but for others as well.  This development speaks volumes about your commitment to community development and unity,” he said.

Masomere’s donation adds to his growing reputation for social development which underscores the importance of strengthening civil- military relations.
