CHIRUMANZU-Finally the deal has been sealed. The Ministry of Transport together with the Zimbabwe Traffic Safety Council, have heeded the call from the people of Chaka business centre in Chirumhanzu.

Chaka business centre which lies along the newly rehabilitated Harare -Masvingo and Beitbridge highway, was a black spot. The people around Chaka expressed a sigh of relief when Masimba Contruction, began the construction of humps at the business centre on Friday 3, October 2025.
The area was now known as the ” Crocodile river” because of so many lives which had been lost at Chaka. Speeding motorists whilst passing at the busy township always contributed to the dilemma. Now the area is now managed by small grids which slow down speeding vehicles.
The people of Chaka also say the ministry must implement this project, at all busy areas like Ngundu, Maringire, Gokomere, St Stanislaus etc. This move saves lives. A stitch in time, saves nine.
