MUTARE-Castle Lager PSL log anchors Manica Diamonds FC chairman Masimba Chihowa has rubbished rumors of a possible coaching change, insisting that interim coach Tafadzwa Mashiri remains at the helm.
In an interview, Chihowa dismissed speculation about Saul Chaminuka’s potential appointment, saying, “We have no plans to hire Saul Chaminuka as substantive coach. We still have faith in Mashiri.”
Despite the team’s poor start, Chihowa remains optimistic: “I know we will come out of the woods as the season progresses,” he added
Manica Diamonds currently sit at the bottom of the log with zero points.
Rumors suggest Chaminuka’s camp is in talks, potentially with Mashiri staying on as an assistant coach. The club’s next move will be closely watched as they aim to turn their season around.
When reached for a comment, Saul Chaminuka’s mobile phone went unanswered while questions sent to him via WhatsApp were not responded to by the time of posting the story.
