Gokwe-Simon Matura ( 22) of Village Gwedu under Chief Nemangwe in Gokwe succumbed to stab wounds after he engaged in a fist fight with his assailants.
It is alleged that Matura had an undisclosed dispute with Willard and Annotate Matashu and Thabisani Matashu all male adults of Village 7 Ndhlalambi under Chief Nemangwe in Gokwe South sometime last week around 8pm.
The two suspects produced knives and stabbed
Simon Matura several times on the chest and stomach and he fell to the ground.
The suspects fled leaving Simon Matura lying in a pool of blood and he later died on his way home.
ZRP Manoti attended the scene and deceased’s body was taken to Gokwe South District Hospital awaiting post-mortem.
Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko has appealed for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
“As the police we appeal to members of the public to desist from the use of violence in trying to solve disputes.
“We also appeal to those with information which may assist in the arrest of Willard Matashu and Thabisani Matashu to approach any nearest police station” he added.
