Gweru- A Gweru man lost cash and property valued at US $1 680-00 to robbers who had offered him transport on 2 June 2023 around 6am at Fairmile Hotel.
Circumstances are that, the complainant boarded an unregistered BMW near Chicken Inn along Robert Mugabe Way intending to go to Lundi Park suburb in Gweru.
Upon reaching a roundabout near Fairmile Hotel, the vehicle stopped and one of the two passengers produced a knife, pointed it on the complainant’s neck ordering him to surrender all his valuables.
The complainant complied and handed over his Samsung J4 cell phone and cash.
The robbers have not yet been apprehended and Police are on the hunt for them.
