An allegedly stone drunk Newlife Muzvodza (34) seriously assaulted Josephat Musingaripi and left him bleeding in the face following a beer brawl at Mutsetse Bar in Rujeko.
Muzvodza has since appeared in court before Masvingo Magistrate, Linnett Mudzingo facing assault charges
Court heard that Muzvodza was drunk, in addition he insulted Musingaripi who kept his cool resulting in Muzvodza being angered by the actions.
This did not go down well resulting in Muvodza assaulting the complainant until he started bleeding.
The complainant went to report to the Police and immediately referred to Masvingo Provincial Hospital and was given a medical report.
The medical report was produced in court as evidence.
In court Muzvodza did not deny his allegations, and admitted that he was drunk and failed to control himself.
Musingaripi demanded justice to prevail after being assaulted on the face which resulted in him having eye problems.
“He assaulted me in Mutsetse bar, l have an eye condition which worsened on that particular day.
“I wish the court will grant the judgment befitting the crime he committed on me,” he pleaded with the Magistrate.
