The Masvingo Achievements Awards, now in its third edition, promises to be an unforgettable night of glamour and inspiration.

 This prestigious event recognizes and celebrates the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations in various fields within the Masvingo region, under the theme “Empowering Youth, Women, and Persons with Disabilities” for national economic growth”.

Deltrish Muzvaba, assistant manager of DC entertainment, confirmed the development to The Midweek Watch.

“The third edition of the Masvingo Achievements Awards will take place on December 6, 2024, at the Flamboyant Hotel from 17:00 hrs. Advance tickets are available for $7, while standard tickets go for $10. The event is organized by DC Entertainment X 44 000 dreams in partnership with Cherub Media and National Arts Council,” said Muzvaba.

Last year’s edition saw remarkable winners, including Tasunungurwa Marisa of the famous Worldwide International, which took home the award for Outstanding Business Brand, and the Minister of State, Ezra Chadzamira who was honored for Outstanding Resilience Leadership, added Muzvaba.

“Empowering women and youth is essential for building vibrant, inclusive communities and fostering equitable socio-economic development. Initiatives like the African Development Fund’s grant of over US$3.5 million to support technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions demonstrate the impact of strategic investments in youth and women’s empowerment,” she added.

The Spotlight Initiative has also transformed the lives of Zimbabwe’s rural women, addressing social-economic challenges faced by persons with disabilities. organizations like Development Association from People to People Zimbabwe continue to make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities through their commitment to well-being and empowerment,” she said.
