CHIREDZI-The just-ended Lowveld Agricultural Show which took place from 31 July to 2 August 2025 was a resounding success with a notable increase in exhibitors by 38% and a showcase of innovative agricultural practices.

The show attracted 51 exhibitors a 38% increase from the previous year’s 36 exhibitors with 32% being new exhibitors which included Saint Gobain and the Land Tenure Implementation Committee.
Lowveld Show Society Chairman Graham Murindagomo expressed his gratitude towards the exhibitors and attributed the success of the show to the positive attitude of the exhibitors.
“We have increased our exhibitors from 36 to 51 which shows an increase of 38% with 32% being new exhibitors so we really applaud the improvement” Said Murindagomo.
The show ran under the theme “Lowveld Legacy: Celebrating Smart Agriculture and Innovation.”
Guest of Honor, Tongaat Hulett General Manager Ushe Chinhuru, representing Tongaat Hulett Managing Director Tendai Masawi encouraged farmers and corporates to adopt digital marketing strategies to elevate their businesses and connect more effectively with the market.
“Digital marketing offers advantages such as reaching a broader audience, reducing marketing costs and providing real time feedback on consumers’ preferences hence I encourage all farmers and corporates to adopt digital marketing” said Chinhuru.
Chinhuru also urged Lowveld farmers to look beyond their borders and learn from SADC neighbors, adopting successful models to suit their unique challenges and opportunities.
He said “Many farmers in the region have successfully implemented innovative practices that have transformed their agricultural sector. By sharing knowledge and experience we can adopt strategies that will benefit our own farms and communities,”
The show ended on a high note with a performance by Zimbabwe’s Afro-fusion artist Oriyano ( Kudakwashe Royne Kachehiko) on Saturday.
Outstanding exhibitors were awarded gold prizes and these included Saint Gobain, Afro-Stain, Syngenta, Intaba Trading and Farm and City Centre.
