MASVINGO-The tragic Exor car crash that left a Chiredzi family of five injured has sadly claimed the life of 10 year old Zinyembesi Zivavose.

Zinyembesi succumbed to her injuries at Masvingo General Hospital and was laid to rest on Saturday at MangwandI Cemetery.
Lawrence Phiri, the uncle to the deceased, confirmed to The Midweek Watch that Bobo Zivavose, the father, who sustained a broken hand has since been discharged but is scheduled for a medical review.
Two other children, Elifunayo Zivavose (14) and Bobo Junior Zivavose (5) have also been discharged and are recovering at home.
However, Martha Muzata, wife to Bobo Zivavose remains in critical condition and is still admitted at Masvingo Provincial Hospital.
She is expected to see an optician for further assessment.
According to eyewitness accounts, an unidentified Mercedes Benz driver from Exor reportedly failed to observe traffic rules by not giving way and cut in front of an oncoming vehicle headed toward Beitbridge. The maneuver caused the vehicle to veer off the road, hitting six people in the process.
Masvingo Province deputy police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Masauso Patinyu confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
Following the child’s death, a docket has been opened and the driver is being charged with culpable homicide. The driver is set to appear in court soon.
