Midlands – With three games remaining in the season, Kwekwe United FC have extended their advantage at the top of the table after fellow title contenders Tongogara FC dropped two points in a goalless draw against ZRP Gwanda FC in the ZIFA Central Region Soccer League.
The draw has left Tongogara five points adrift of Kwekwe United, who capitalized on the opportunity by defeating Gokwe North 1-0.
The win means Kwekwe United now have 68 points, with Tongogara sitting second on 63 points, having played a game less than Kwekwe’s 30 matches.
Elsewhere, Shabanie Mine FC were awarded a 3-0 walkover victory over Wangu Mazodze City, while Chapungu beat FC Platinum U19 3-1.
