KWEKWE-Police in the Midlands province are investigating a suspected suicide case in which a 25-year-old man was found dead in his room with his teeth blown out and blood stains scattered around.

According to the Midlands Province police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, Talent Runi was found dead at his residence in Mbizo, Kwekwe, on Independence Day, 2025.

Runi’s cousin, Tinotenda Tsvangira, discovered the body after receiving a call from their aunt in Harare, who had been informed that Runi had threatened to take his own life.

Insp Mahoko said there were used and unused explosives, igniting cords and a box of matches scattered in the room.

He added that the police are working to determine the exact cause and manner of death, urging anyone with information to come forward.
