Kufa burial on Sunday

Date:

MIDWEEK REPORTER

GUTU-Former National Blood Service Zimbabwe Masvingo Branch team driver, Tarcisio Kufa’s burial has been set for Sunday at his rural home in Chinyika Village, Gutu.

Kufa succumbed to liver cancer at Makurira Memorial Clinic where he was admitted on Friday in the morning after a long illness.

He was 68.

Kufa was a devout Roman Catholic Church congregant and husband to St Don Bosco Primary head, Crescencia Kufa.

“It is with great shock and grief that we learn of the passing on to eternity of Mr Kufa the husband of Mrs Crescencia Kufa head of St Don Bosco Primary school.

“Mr Kufa passed away this morning (Friday) at Makurira Memorial Clinic in Masvingo. Our deepest sympathies to Mai Kufa, Kufa family, relatives and friends. May the dear soul of Mr Tarcisio Kufa rest in everlasting peace through the mercy of God,” read a message from Masvingo Roman Catholic Diocese education secretary, Fr. Samson Mutsvanga.

He worked at N. Richards Group before joining Rudolph and in 2008 he joined NBSZ as a team driver in Masvingo until the time of his retirement in 2021.

“He was a dedicated team member since 2008 up to the time he retired.

He was cautious such that he never had a record of accidents in the 13 years he was with the service.

“He was always punctual such that his mobile team that he worked with had the best record of keeping time” commented Blessing Mukwada, NBSZ human capital and administration executive.

“He was always cheerful and ever smiling and would crack jokes at every opportunity before bleeding. Very mature and friendly to everyone such that you would want to come back and bleed again and again.

“We will miss him, may his dear soul rest in eternal peace,” said Nkulumani Mlambo the former NBSZ Masvingo Branch committee chairman.

“This a great loss to the donor community as he was someone who would motivate potential donors to donate blood wherever he was, be it social gatherings or official events.

“He would give advise on life issues and give direction as a father figure, very dedicated to duty and hard working, tinoti kuna Baba Kufa zororai murugare,” said Milton Sithole NBSZ Masvingo Branch committee former chairman as well.

Below was the reaction of donors soon after The Midweek Watch posted the story of Kufa’s death on Friday.
