-as murder case drags on

MASVINGO CITY-The murder trial of Kelvin Munorwei (38) which has been dragging for seven months now is yet to begin as he was further remanded to August 1, 2025.
Munorwei who is out on $100 bail is accused of killing his sweetheart, Laura Sinet in December last year and has been to the courts since then without the trial commencing.
Munorwei appeared before Masvingo Magistrate Elizabeth Hanzi on June 27.

Laura was found dead along Beitbridge highway in Clipsham area and the postmortem concluded that she was hit with a blunt object on the head resulting in her neck breaking and death.
She was laid to rest in Marondera where her family is based.
Munorwei is represented by veteran Masvingo based lawyer Charles Ndhlovu.
