Jovial ‘beer binge ‘ ends in bloodshed

Silobela- A jovial beer binge among patrons turned fatal at Nyakwati Bussiness Center in Silobela after a heated argument between two patrons turned into a fist fight.

The incident happened on May 28, 2023.

Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the unfortunate incident and the arrest of one of the suspect who was identified as Parent Moyo( 21).

” As the Police we are appealing for information which can lead to the arrest of two other suspects (unknown)who were together with the accused person, Parent Moyo.

“Once again we urge members of the public to desist from violence whenever there are disputes.” Said Mahoko.

Mahoko told The Midweek Watch that Khulani Ndebele (30), Parent Moyo (21) and two unknown male suspects (who are at large) were drinking’ beer at Nyakwati Bussiness centre in Silobela when a misunderstanding arose leading to a fist fight where the deceased was overpowered.

They went on to stab him (Ndebele) all over the body with a knife before fleeing the scene as they left him unconscious on the ground bleeding profusely

A report was made to ZRP Silobela and acting on a tip off police managed to arrest Parent Moyo who was still within the area

Ndebele’s body was taken to Kwekwe District Hospital.
