The Inspiration Tennis Academy from Masvingo Province has made an impressive mark after excelling in three national tennis tournaments held across different provinces.

The academy’s players brought home an outstanding total of 34 gold, 24 silver, 11 bronze medals and 8 trays/plates, showcasing both depth and consistency across all competitions.

At the Midlands Province tournament held at Kwekwe Primary School, the academy secured 6 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze.

During the Kyle Preparatory School tournament in Masvingo, they collected 9 gold, 12 silver and 5 bronze.

The highlight came at the prestigious Muzenda National Tournament, where they dominated with 19 gold, 9 silver, and 5 bronze medals.

Speaking to The Midweek Watch, Privy Fanisai Founder and Head Coach of Inspiration Tennis Academy said, “the tournament drew participants from all over the country, with age groups ranging from red ball to under-18s, playing singles and doubles.”

Fanisai added that the tournaments serve as a national points system that determines selection for the Zimbabwe national team, making this a strong foundation for the young athletes’ future.

Winners came from several schools including Junior Primary, Chikato Primary, Victoria Junior Government, Victoria High, Ndarama High, Helen McGhie, Kyle Preparatory and Kyle College reflecting the academy’s broad reach and development success.

With such stellar performances, Inspiration Tennis Academy continues to cement its reputation as one of Zimbabwe’s leading tennis talent nurseries.
