Infant dumped in bin at bank entrance

The Mutare community was left shell shocked after the discovery of an infant dumped in a bin next to the entrance of a First Capital Bank in the CBD.

A man going about his business stumbled upon the strange discovery at around 5pm on Saturday last week and reported the matter to the police.

Police in Mutare are investigating a case of exposing an infant in which the body of an infant (approximately seven to eight months old) was found dumped in a bin along Hebert Chitepo Street on 06/09/25. The body was taken to Victoria Chitepo Hospital mortuary for post mortem.

The police are appealing to anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station.
