COURT REPORTER

MASVINGO – Two Masvingo girls who became infamous following a video they allegedly shared on social media while licking each other’s privates have been remanded to next year January 17 for trial, The Midweek Watch can reveal.

Nyasha Chabika and Flora Tofa who seemed to be enjoying what they were doing to each other in the recorded video appeared in court on Monday and were further remanded for the actual trial to commence in January next year.

The duo’s youthful counsel, Tatenda Nyoka told The Midweek Watch that they applied to the court to take custody of the two accused’s mobile phones since they were literally being used without their consent.

“We applied to the court so that Clerk of Court takes custody of my two clients’ mobile phones since they noted that they were being used on their social media platforms without their consent”, said Nyoka.

“We also told the court that on their next appearance if the prosecution does not find a definite date for the trial to commence, they will have to remove my clients from remand until they find enough evidence to nail them”.

The two were trending on social media after their alleged video began circulating and they even appeared in an Instagram live video bragging about their act before they were arrested and spent three nights in Police cells for allegedly contravening the Entertainment and Censorship Act.
