Triangle woman found dead in pathway
Gribba Chinhongo (57) from Village 4 under Chief Neromwe in Triangle was found dead along a pathway by passersby on November 27.
Masvingo Province police deputy spokesperson Assistant Inspector Masauso Patinyu told The Midweek Watch that Chinhongo’s body was found with burns consistent with lightning as her clothes were also burnt.
The body was discovered at around 10am soon after some heavy rains with thunderstorms had pounded the area and the police attended the scene and took it to Chiredzi Hospital for a postmortem.
Patinyu urged the public not to hide in secluded places with tress in order to avoid being struck by lightning when raining.
