Chinja was the 1999 message and it resonated well with citizens.

Mugabe had overstayed so change was only hope for a better Zimbabwe.
The situation has drastically changed in the country. Is the message of change still very relevant to the prevailing economic, political and social environment?
Mugabe who had overstayed is no longer in the political picture. Calling for change can be relevant but not a driving message in the political situation. Mnangagwa is still serving his second and presumably the last term. Talking of change when people know the constitution will change the leader is not appropriate, relevant and resonating with the suffering masses.
A political message is picked up from the daily expressions by the people. If the opposition put their ear on the ground there are statements which whenever people meet they will hardly part without saying it whether knowingly, unknowingly, intentionally or unintentionally.
“Zvakaoma!” the statement or words is fully packed in meaning. It might be one word but it is impregnated with political, economic and social meaning. It is not a mere one word but a statement on its own. It is a composition. A university assignment or O level English composition cannot surpass this one word.
The moment one utter “Zvakaoma!” all citizens understand what the hardships are. It needs no rocket scientist to tell a Zimbabwean that life is unbearable.
The opposition must craft its message around the hardships people are experiencing today.
‘Zvazorwadza! Regai Ivo vararame! Kuba kwacho kwazonyanya!” are the common sentiments expressed by citizens in kombi, at Range boreholes, dip tanks, bus stops and beer halls.
The opposition must popularize the message so that people become part of it. A good message drives a political agenda. A good and resonate message ignite political activism. A good message destroys the enemy. The opposition must popularize the message before the official launch of the NEW.
President Chamisa has a duty to vibrate, ignite etc the nation with a popular democratic modern political message. If he crafts a message around “Zvakaoma” people will take Zanu PF by a surprise. Zanu PF knows it has no capacity to stop street and village echoing the “Zvakaoma” message as it will be the true experience of citizens.
President Chamisa has a duty to articulate the suffering of the masses. It is known that every citizens is experiencing economic, political and social suffering due to Zanu PF mismanagement and looting.
