Happynest group marks 2 years of transforming lives

Happynest Group, a leading provider of mental health services, is celebrating its second anniversary marking a significant milestone in its journey to promote mental well-being across the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

 Since its inception on July 20, 2023, the company has made remarkable strides, serving over 9,000 clients and families.

Senior Consultant Counselling Psychologist who is also the chief executive officer for Happynest Counselling Chambers, Innocent Mataruse confirmed the development to The Midweek Watch.

With four strategically located branches in Masvingo, Harare, Gweru, and Zvishavane, the consultant said Happynest Group has established itself as a major player in the mental health sector and the company operates with a team of 12 dedicated employees, as well as several interns drawn from various frames of reference, who work tirelessly to provide innovative solutions and support to those in need.

Under the leadership of Mataruse, Happynest Group has launched seven strategic business units (SBUs) and four operational counseling chambers, revolutionizing the realm of mental health. The company’s community impact initiatives include the establishment of the Happynest Rehabilitation Nook (HNRN) and Happynest Foundation (HNF), which support underprivileged school-going learners and families through outreach programs.

“We are proud of what we have achieved in just two years, Our team has worked tirelessly to provide innovative solutions and support to those in need, and we look forward to continuing this journey of transformation,” said Mataruse.

Mataruse shared Happynest Group’s Mission Statement as ‘To practice and promote the science of optimal human functioning to enhance the well-being of individuals, communities, governments, private sector organizations and educational institutions.’

“We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where clients can explore their challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their therapeutic goals,” he said.

He also shared the Vision as ‘To create a world where individuals feel empowered, understood, and supported in their journey towards mental and emotional well-being,’

“We envision a society where seeking counselling and therapy is not only normalized but celebrated as an essential aspect of personal growth and resilience. Through our expert guidance, compassionate care, and innovative approaches, we aspire to redefine the landscape of mental health services, breaking down barriers to access and promoting inclusivity for all,” added Mataruse.

Davison Tavakonza, Finance Manager at the same company , highlighted the company’s commitment to financial responsibility.

“We have managed our resources effectively, ensuring that our financial performance supports our mission and vision. We are grateful to our stakeholders for their trust and support,” said Tavakonza.
