The signing ceremony, held today, Thursday 30 January 2025, marked a significant milestone in strengthening ties between the two institutions, setting the stage for an enriched learning experience for students.

The agreement will see Trust Academy offering seven diploma programmes under GZU’s professional guidance and supervision. Among these are the Diploma in Topflight Executive Administration and the Diploma in Community Development, designed to equip students with industry-relevant skills.

The partnership is expected to enhance academic cooperation in various spheres, including research, teaching, and learning, through workshops, seminars, conferences, and public lectures.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Hlupeko Dube, representing the Executive Dean of the Munhumutapa School of Business Sciences, emphasised the MOU’s core objective of establishing a framework that promotes academic synergy between the two institutions.

“This partnership will not only benefit students but will also provide a platform for knowledge exchange, skill development, and professional networking,” he said.

Chamanga further highlighted that this collaboration would enable GZU to play a pivotal role in monitoring and providing oversight to Trust Academy.

Under the MOU, both institutions will actively collaborate in research, marketing of academic programmes, exchange of publications and academic materials, as well as the sharing of library resources and online databases. Additionally, capacity-building programmes will be a key focus, ensuring the continuous enhancement of academic and professional competencies.
