Gweru man throws self from water tank

Gweru- A 32-year old Mkoba man died in a suspected suicide case where he allegedly jumped to his death from a water tank.

The incident occurred on 11 May 2023 around 10am at Mkoba 14

Midlands Provincial Police Spokesperson, Emmanuel Mahoko urged members of the public to seek assistance where need may arise.

“We urge members of the public to desist from taking their lives when faced with life problems, it is better to find someone to talk to or make use of Zimbabwe Republic Police, Community Relations Liaison Offices which are found at every police station,” he added.

Circumstances are that Trevor Bhebhe of Mkoba 14 Gweru left his home and proceeded to Mkoba 14 water tanks.

He climbed to the top of a water tank which is about 24m high and jumped from there to the ground over an undisclosed issue.

A report was made and police attended the scene and found lying on the ground with a deformed head and broken legs.

His next of kin was advised and Bhebhe was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
