Gweru man loses car to thieves in CBD

GWERU-A man was left in shock after losing his motor vehicle to thieves having parked the car at a bay along ED Mnangagwa Street in Gweru CBD.

Police confirmed the incident which occurred on 26 January 2024 at about 0910 hours.

Richard Hakurimwi, (36) of Ascot Extension, Gweru parked his blue Honda Fit, registration number AEL 4470, at a parking bay opposite Africa Mall along ED Mnangagwa Street, and went to Morah Shop, along the same street.

He returned at around 1000 hours and discovered that his car was no longer where he had parked it. 

Midlands Provincial Police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko is appealing for information to locate the suspects

‘We are appealing to members of the public who might have information that can assist in the recovery of  the vehicle and subsequent arrest of the suspects to contact any Police station,” Mahoko said.
