GWERU-Gweru based professional golfer, Liberty Gumisa has set his sights on finishing in the top 5 in the country by the end of the year, The Midweek Watch can reveal.
Gumisa is currently ranked 33 in the country and is the brand ambassador of Glow Petroleum.
He plies his trade at Gweru Golf Club and was born in Gokwe where he did his primary education at Emtonjeni and Mbizo High School.
He started playing golf in 2015 and turned Pro in 2017 when he became the Zimbabwe captain during the region 5 tournaments held in Zambia and South Africa.
He then played tournaments in Kenya safari, Nigeria and local tournaments which were sponsored Midlands State University.

In 2019 he became the brand Ambassador of Glow Petroleum, unfortunately due to COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 his play was affected and only resumed recently after the easing of travel and gathering restrictions.
“In Zimbabwe l am currently ranked 33 and l am looking forward this year to try and push to go up and be in the top five in the country,” he said.
