The Gutu community has been plunged into mourning following the passing on of septuagenarian Tadious Gumindoga, 77, affectionately known as “MR Logarithm.”

Manatsa Makombe, son in law to the deceased confirmed the sad news and said Gumindoga succumbed to kidney failure at his homestead.
Gumindoga was a highly respected veteran educationist and village head.
He died on May 26.
Gumindoga’s service to education spanned several decades, during which he made a lasting impact on the lives of countless people and colleagues.
MR Logarithm’s illustrious career began in the early 1980s at Munyikwa High School, where he taught for several years before being promoted to Deputy Head. His leadership skills and commitment to excellence earned him another promotion, this time as the first Head of Matombo Secondary School, a newly established institution under Chief Munyikwa in Gutu East.
As a Village Head of Gumindoga Village under Chief Chimombe in Gutu, his community leadership and guidance earned him the respect and admiration of the people he served. His nickname “MR Logarithm” was a testament to his expertise and passion for mathematics, which inspired many students during his teaching career.
He is survived by his wife, six children and 12 grandchildren. He will be laid to rest at Gumindoga Village under Chief Chimombe in Gutu on Friday.
