MIDLANDS – Chisumbanje based Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, Greefuel FC welcomed their fans in style at their home ground by beating fellow new boys Sheasham FC 1-0.
Collins Duhwa scored the solitary goal that saw the ethanol Boys claim all the three points.
This was the first match to be played at Greenfuel Stadium after it was recently homologated First Instance Board to host matches after being renovated.
The win sees the Rodwell Dhlakama coached side go eighth on the log with 29 points from 22 matches played as the team now has three wins in five matches and in a good position to survive relegation in their first season in topflight football.
Sheasham who are also fighting relegation sit 14th on the log with 23 points the same as new boys Simba Bhora Fc who drew nil all against Hwange today.
Sheasham FC chairman Reginald Chidawanyika said the game was a balanced match which could have gone either way.
“The game was well balanced. We conceded a silly goal which unfortunately made the difference”, he said.
