Great Dyke FC salvage crucial point in Gweru

MIDLANDS-ZIFA Midlands Province Division 2 side, Great Dyke FC rescued a crucial point away in Gweru against Midlands FC on Sunday.

The draw leaves the Mberengwa District new boys with an impressive 7 points from their first three games, keeping their hopes alive for a promotion into the ZIFA Central Region Division 1 League next year.

Jah Chiwenga got the all-important goal after the team went into the second half trailing to the home team.

The Serengeto Boys as the team is fondly known by its legions fans secured a 1-0 victory over local rivals Mbesa FC in their opening fixture with Alexander Hall scoring the solitary goal before securing an emphatic 3-1 victory over All Stars Somabula FC.
