Granny (64) dies at Zaka Zanu PF rally

MASVINGO – Gladys Sibanda (64) from Gokomere, a staunch Zanu PF supporter died at a Zanu PF star rally at Chinorumba Secondary School in Zaka yesterday.

Musa Precious Phiri a sister to the deceased confirmed the sad news and said that Sibanda complained of having difficulties in breathing whilst she was in the bus.

Phiri said that at around 2pm yesterday Sibanda told other women in the same bus about her breathing problems and in no time she passed on.

Phiri said a report was made at Zaka police station but Masvingo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said they have not received the report yet.

The body is currently at Musiso Mission Hospital awaiting arrival of other relatives for the burial proceedings.

The star rally which was addressed by Zanu PF First Secretary, President Mnangagwa where tens of thousands of supporters turned up from around the country.
