GOKWE- Gokwe Town Council has reinstated its Administrator Luwis Taruvinga after he was suspended over allegations of criminal abuse of office.
Confirming Taruvinga’s reinstatement, Gokwe Town Council Chairperson Councillor Licious Mutegwe said the allegations were dismissed.
“Yes, Taruvinga has been reinstated and he is back in his office,” he said.
Taruvinga was suspended on October 23 by the then acting secretary Eng. Masukume over allegations of criminal abuse of office after he employed an unqualified graduate trainee in May 2023.
It was alleged that, four candidates applied for the post with three candidates being degree holders while the one selected was just an Ordinary Level holder.
