GOKWE- Gokwe Town Council has suspended its administrator, Luwis Taruvinga over criminal abuse of office after he employed an unqualified graduate trainee.
Gokwe Town Council Acting Secretary Engineer Melsen Masukume confirmed the development to The Midweek Watch.
“We have suspended one of our employees Luwis Taruvinga on allegations of criminal abuse of duty after he employed an unqualified graduate trainee in May 2023.
“Four candidates applied for the post with three candidates being degree holders while the one selected was just an Ordinary Level holder.
“What he did is a serious criminal case and is suspended from work without pay pending investigations,” he said.
