Gokomere CPS is best in Masvingo

MASVINGO-Roman Catholic Church run Gokomere Central Primary produced the best Grade 7 results in Masvingo Province for the 2024 Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (Zimsec) examinations.

This is according to the statistics released by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Masvingo province judging by percentage pass rate.

Gokomere had 143 candidates who sat for the examinations and it recorded a 100 percent pass rate.

Sitting at position two is Helen McGhie in Masvingo district with a 100 percent pass rate after 132 candidates wrote the examinations.

Chishamiso Primary School in Chiredzi district is on third place after recording an impressive 100 percent pass rate. The school had 49 leaners who wrote the exams.

Melbourne Primary School with 16 candidates came fourth with a 100 percent pass rate followed by Herentials with all 14 candidates passing.

Chionja Primary in Chiredzi district recorded a 100 percent from 9 candidates who wrote the exams  and was ranked at position six.

On number 7 is ZRP Zimuto in Masvingo district which had 96 candidates. The school recorded an impressive 98.96 percent pass rate.

Chiredzi Government Primary School is number 8 with a 97. 70 percent pass rate.  A total of 174 candidates sat for the examinations.

On number 9 is Vurombo Primary in Masvingo district with a 96.26 percent pass rate after 187 candidates wrote the exams.

Runyararo Primary School  in Masvingo district is on number 10 after recording an impressive 96 percent pass rate.  225 candidates sat for the examinations.
