MASVINGO-Gokomere Catholic Primary School has maintained its academic excellence with a 98.4% pass rate in the 2025 Grade 7 ZIMSEC examinations just slightly below last year’s perfect 100%.

Out of 125 learners who sat for the exams, 50 were boys and 75 were girls.
Impressively, 49 pupils attained between 6 and 10 units.
Speaking to The Midweek Watch, School Head Tobias Munetsi said while the results remain commendable, the slight decline reflects a more challenging examination year in line with national trends.
“Though the drop is minimal, it’s a concern that shows this year’s exams were slightly tougher. I commend our hardworking teachers and the support from parents. We’re aiming to bounce back to 100% next year,” said Munetsi.
