He told The Midweek Watch that the child underwent two surgeries in a week last year after she drank a corrosive oven cleaner which contained sodium hydroxide unknowingly at their homestead and since then she has been having difficulties in eating, swallowing and they are feeding her through a tube.
“Since December 2022 she has been feeding using a tube (feeding Jejunostomy) while we were looking for a solution to her problem. We were referred to a Specialist Pediatrician who then said she now require an urgent surgery to open her throat since she is now failing to swallow both saliva and mucus.

“Recently the doctor advised us to come back for another surgery so that she stops feeding her through the tube and eat in a normal way.
The surgery requires US$9 370 and we have nowhere to get that kind of money therefore we are kindly asking to the business community and the public in general to help us to give our child a normal life,” appealed Chibore.
