Gafa ignites Caravan Park Masvingo

Saturday, May 17, 2025, will be etched in the memories of Masvingo residents as an unforgettable night, thanks to the electrifying performance of Zimbabwean music sensation Winky D at Caravan Park.

Thousands of fans came from as far as Zvishavane to witness the concert, a testament to the artist’s massive following and appeal.

The event, presented by Chipaz Partson Chimbodza, kicked off with local DJs and artists taking to the stage to warm up the crowd. The energy was palpable as the audience eagerly awaited the main act. When Winky Dee finally took to the stage, the crowd erupted into cheers and applause. The artist delivered a high-octane performance, belting out his hits like “Siya” and “Reply” which left the audience singing along and dancing uncontrollably.

Artists like Bling4 and Oriyano also took to the stage, showcasing their talents and adding to the night’s excitement.

“Winky’s performance was insane, I have never seen anything like it, the energy, the passion, the music – it was all top-notch,” said Tendai Muchenje a fan.

“I travelled from Zvishavane to see Winky D live, and it was worth it, the crowd was electric, and the music was infectious, I will be following the Gafa’s career closely,” said Kyle Makiwa “Uncle Kale” a fan.

Caravan Park owner Garikai Garande expressed his delight at the turnout.

“We are thrilled to have hosted such a successful event, the artist’s performance was phenomenal, and we are grateful to have been a part of it,” said Garande.

Chipaz the event presenter, was also happy with the outcome.

“We are so happy that Masvingo believed in us enough to allow us to present this event, it was an unforgettable night, and I am grateful to have been a part of it, the concert saw over 5 000 attending,” said Chimbodza.

As the crowd dispersed, the buzz was palpable, with fans still singing along to the hits and discussing the highlights of the night. It was clear that the artists had left an indelible mark on Masvingo’s music scene.
