Four Lions maintain top spot as title race heats up

Title hopefuls Four Lions Football Club remain in control of the ZIFA Masvingo Provincial Soccer League as the 2025 season heads into Week 18, with anticipation building for another weekend of exciting fixtures.

 Four Lions tops the table with 46 points from 16 matches, winning 15 and losing just once.

Power FC trail in second with 37 points from 17 games, while Smarlia FC sit third on 34 points.

Over the weekend, Power FC thrashed First Touch FC 4-0, Molsport FC narrowly edged Chiredzi Stars 3-2 and Sharp Arrows defeated Chiwaz FC 1-0.

In other matches, Four Lions FC continued their dominant run with a narrow 1-0 victory over

Smarlia FC while Herentals FC picked up a valuable 1-0 away win against Garariah FC.

Week 18 fixtures:

Chiredzi Stars vs Herentals, Tshovani Stadium on Saturday.

Smarlia vs Sharp Arrows, King Mine on Saturday

First Touch vs Molsport, Rutenga Primary on Saturday 

Chiwaz vs Garariah Section 6, Sunday

With only a few games remaining, the race for the title and the battle to avoid relegation is intensifying.

Four Lions FC aim to hold their ground at the top, while struggling sides like Sharp Arrows and Garariah are fighting to stay afloat.

The league continues to offer a platform for local talent and grassroots football development under the guidance of ZIFA Masvingo Province.
