Foetus found at Gweru Woodlands dumpsite

Police are looking for information regarding a case of concealment of birth following a dead human foetus which was found at a dumpsite in Gweru. 

Midlands Police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident.

“Police are appealing for anyone who might have information that can assist in arresting the mother of the dumped foetus to contact any nearest Police Station.” Mahoko added.

Information at hand show that the foetus was discovered on 15 June 2024 at 1030 hours at Woodlands dumpsite in Gweru by Annastancia Venge ( 53) a female resident of Mambo Township who was in search of plastic containers at Woodlands dumpsite.

Venge reported the matter at ZRP Nehanda station while the foetus was taken to Gweru Provincial Hospital mortuary.
