Floating body found in Rusape River

RUSAPE-THE POLICE is appealing to members of te public who could be missing a male relative whose body was found floating in Rusape River on February 23 to come forward and identify him.

“We are appealing to anyone missing a male relative to come forward at Rusape Hospital and help in the identification of a body found floating in Rusape River,” said Manicaland Province police acting spokesperson Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka.

Fungai Murisa (46) of B44 Vengere in Rusape discovered the body of the male adult at around 1pm when he was doing laundry on the river banks near the water gauge.

Murisa retrieved the body from the water before he made a report to Rusape Central Police Station.

The body was taken to Rusape General Hospital for a postmortem.
