ZVISHAVANE- Defending champions and title contenders FC Platinum dropped crucial points at home after playing out to a 1-1 draw against Greenfuel FC.

The match was a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League matchday 29 played at Mandava Stadium on Saturday.

Maplatso got on the scoresheet first through Perfect Chikwende on 70 minutes but the Chisumbanje based side replied two minutes later with Collins Duhwa.

They have now dropped five points in two matches after losing 2-1 on Wednesday to Black Rhinos and it is now an uphill task for them to retain the title as the gap is widening with each match played.

They now have 47 points from 29 games, trailing log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars by seven points who still have a game to play.

The Zvishavane based team is chasing a record fifth title on the trot.

Coach Norman Mapeza said the team played well despite dropping points.
