GUTU-A 37-year-old man from Chief Gutu is admitted at Gutu Rural Hospital after he was allegedly stabbed with a broken beer bottle during a dispute at Runyowa Business Centre on the 28th of February at around 2000 hours.
The complainant, Tineyi Musekiwa (37) was reportedly drinking beer with Blessing Machimbidzofa (44) and the accused’s father when a misunderstanding arose.
It is alleged that Blessing began fighting with his father and pushed him during the altercation. Musekiwa reportedly intervened in an attempt to stop the fight.
In the process, Blessing allegedly took an empty beer bottle, broke it and stabbed Musekiwa once on the left side of the abdomen.
Musekiwa sustained a deep cut and was rushed to Gutu Rural Hospital where he is currently admitted.
A police report was filed and Blessing Machimbidzofa was arrested on the 1st of March 2026.
