A head-on collision between a GWM motor vehicle and an unregistered motorcycle on the Masvingo-Mutare road has claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
Masvingo province police spokesperson, Ispector Kudakwashe Dhewa, confirmed that the accident occurred at the 237km peg on February 3 at around 11:20pm
The motor vehicle, driven by Phenius Sibanda (42), was heading east with two passengers on board, while the motorcyclist, Godknows Chiteza of Sosera village in Bikita, was traveling west alone.
The two vehicles failed to negotiate the bend, resulting in a collision that left Chiteza with serious head injuries. He died on the spot.
