Anesu Kavaza, son to former Sabi Gold Mine employee Tambaoga Kavaza has been fined for trespassing at his father’s former house.

Anesu was using the company house at Number 9 in Mndava Township, Zvishavane, to conduct academic lessons without the permission of Sabi Gold Mine.
He was confronted by Sabi Security personnel who physically evicted after an altercation and the matter was reported at the police resulting in Anesu being fined $30 for the offence.
His father had vacated the house after getting his retirement package in February this year and went to his rural areas in Guruve.
The incident happened during a routine inspection by Sabi security officers. Anesu, who was accused of trespassing, resisted the eviction, leading to a scuffle that was captured on video and circulated widely on social media, The Midweek Watch has learnt.
The altercation involved security personnel and Anesu.
Sabi Gold Mine Human Resources Manager Edmore Masiko said; “his unauthorized use of the premises prompted several warnings from Mine Security prior to the confrontation.
“On the day of the incident, security officers found the son conducting lessons for a group of students in the house, when told to stop and vacate, he allegedly became verbally and physically aggressive, prompting security to detain him using what they deemed necessary minimum force.”
He added that Anesu was subsequently handed over to police and charged with trespassing under case reference RRB 6287485.
Anesu was held in police custody and released on May 13, 2025, after paying admission of guilty fine of $30.
When contacted for comment, Anesu said the issue has since been resolved amicably between the parties although earlier on he had placed charges of assault against the said guard.
